I'm Hannibal Hills. I narrate audiobooks, write books, build tools, and run an independent publishing company called Royal Wave Media.

The narration came first. Over the last several years I've narrated over 200 audiobooks: horror, literary fiction, comedy, science fiction, mystery, memoir, and quite a bit that doesn't fit neatly into a box. I work with publishers, rights holders, and indie authors, and I take a lot of care over getting it right.

Somewhere along the way, I started building things. Gods & Monsters started because I couldn't find a proper mythology reference and decided to make one. Royaltally came out of the frustration of tracking royalties in spreadsheets. Sleuthy grew from wanting to help narrators find good projects without spending hours searching. None of them were planned; they just turned out to be needed.

Royal Wave Media is the publishing side of things. We publish print, ebook, and audiobook titles, work with narrators and authors, and try to do it properly. It's the home of Gods & Monsters, Story Notes, and a growing catalog.

More recently I've been writing more of my own work. There are a few projects coming together that I'm not quite ready to talk about yet, but they'll show up here when they're ready.

If there's a thread running through all of it, it's probably just that I like making things carefully and I find it hard to leave a good idea alone.
