Tormented

Written by Lee Mountford

Narrated by Hannibal Hills

Welcome to Arlington Asylum, a place where the insane and the forgotten are brought to die.

Adrian James is running from his past with nothing left to live for. At rock bottom, with a blade to his wrist, a mysterious stranger intervenes and offers him a chance at salvation.

Adrian accepts, and he enters Arlington Asylum of his own free will. Once inside, however, he soon learns that he will never escape. And worse, there are strange experiments taking place here, and a secretive medicine is being administered, one that causes certain…changes…in the patients.

The insidious secrets within the halls of Arlington Asylum are slowly revealed, and it is beyond anything Adrian could have possibly imagined. A literal hell is unleashed as impossible and terrifying creatures indulge their sadistic desires.

Adrian and his friends must escape this nightmarish place and warn the outside world before it’s too late, but they must face down the demons of hell to do so.

Tormented is a gruesome and violent horror story, influenced by such greats as John Carpenter’s The Thing, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, and Jeremy Gillespie’s The Void.

Do you dare enter the Asylum?

“Lee Mountford wrote a tale that is packed full of surprises that truly kept me guesses throughout and Hannibal Hills delivers a fantastic performance (even when voicing demons!). I will be looking for more work by both the author and voice actor!”
“The narrator, Han Hills was superb! Seriously, he did the demonic voice and that first time, it actually scared me! Again, totally stunned! If you like paranormal with some horror and a bit of gore this is a great book.”
“I don’t scare easily and I’m not squeamish at all, but this one had me. The suspense and creepiness just continue to build, and don’t let up until the end. The narration was fantastic. I save my five star rating for the best, and Hannibal Hills deserves one.”

As I read this book I felt like I was having a conversation with the author.
Since reading the book, it has bubbled its way into a myriad of conversations with educators, parents and students.
I loved how the author did not shy away from the scary reality and possibilities of a future difficult to inhabit, but at the same time, he provided a kind of optimism that is refreshing and much needed.

What makes a global corporation give away its prized intellectual property? Why are Ivy League universities allowing anyone to take their courses for free? What drives a farmer in rural Africa to share his secrets with his competitors? Find out.

A collection of hactivists, hobbyists, forum-users, and maverick leaders are leading a quiet but unstoppable revolution. They are sharing everything they know, and turning knowledge into action in ways that were unimaginable even a decade ago. Driven by technology, and shaped by common values, going open has transformed the way we live. It’s not so much a question of if our workplaces, schools, and colleges go open, but when.

Packed with advice, this entertaining listen by learning futurist, David Price, argues that open is not only affecting how we are choosing to live, but that it’s going to be the difference between success and failure in the future.

Paranopoly

Written by Peter Nuttall

Narrated by Hannibal Hills

“More fun than a barrel of monkeys!”
“The characters keep on coming, and the plot builds from bizarre to extraordinary, with a few viking ghosts, zombies, and fish suppers thrown in for good measure .
“Worth it just to hear the old ladies.

Do you believe in fate? Do you believe that your life is mapped out for you? What if your fate was actually determined by something small – something like, what counter you used in a game of monopoly?

That certainly seems the case for Troy Thompson, a former F1 driver who now drives Taxis (because he missed the high speeds and risk taking) and used to be the little pewter car when he played Monopoly with five others back at the Silver Sands Caravan Park in Whitley Bay, in 1985. Now, 25 years later, the six friends are drawn back to the camp by something – something ethereal, something dark.

Does it have something to do with fate? Kismet? Yoga? The Ouija board the six friends used on that last night together 25 years ago?

Whatever it is, something is stirring at the park amidst rumors of time standing still, Zombies and big Ginger Vikings haunting the camp shop. Paranopoly is Peter Nuttall’s third novel and continues his flair for quirky humor, engaging storytelling, and deep characterization.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to visit a Caravan Park.
